Former caretaker Prime Minister Anwar -ul -Haq Kakar says improving relations with Afghanistan is a major diplomatic step in Pakistan, although the same visit cannot solve all problems, but it is a positive and strong start from Pakistan. Pakistan is currently in a strong position and it only has the authority to use force or prefer negotiations.
Talking to host Shaukat Paracha in the news program today, former Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has said that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s recent visit to Afghanistan is an important diplomatic development. This is the first time that there were talks at this level, which brightened the possibility of stability in the region. He said that although not all problems can be solved with the same visit, it is a positive and strong start from Pakistan.
Anwar -ul -Haq Kakar described the trade with Afghanistan and the transit to the Central Asian states as beneficial for all countries in the region. He said that this transit is full of economic prospects not only for Pakistan but also for Afghanistan and Central Asia. However, he raised the question whether Afghanistan was ready for it and whether a systematic state system has been established there or will it take more time.
The former caretaker Prime Minister said that the most important issue for Pakistan is that the Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism. The dialogue between the two countries should be viewed positively, but some elements do not want Pakistan and Afghanistan to come closer. Such a situation is in the interest of those elements who want to take advantage of the distance and maintain their network in the region.
In a news program today, Anwar -ul -Haq Kakar said that Pakistan is currently in a strong position and it is only with the state to use force or prefer negotiations. He said that the parliament has to decide which path is better in the interest of Pakistan.
He also highlighted the difference between “hard estate” and “soft estate” and said that a legal state is the one who does not soften the enforcement of the laws, so that a peaceful society can be formed. Unfortunately, important state affairs are also given political color or joke, which is a serious style of governance.
Talking about the situation in Balochistan, Anwar -ul -Haq Kakar said that terrorist incidents, such as attack on Jaffar Express, give rise to serious problems. Nevertheless, some elements try to claim the bodies of the terrorists and present them as a hero, which is a violation of the law.
He made it clear that the federal and provincial governments have drawn a red line on the matter. The hardstate means that when the state enforces the law and arrests the culprits according to the law, some elements also begin to declare this legal action as forced disappearance.
He said that when the state takes legal action, it is interpreted as forced disappearance, which is equivalent to challenging the state writ. He emphasized continuous action against terrorist groups like the BLA and the BRA, saying that his statement was tried to give a political face, which is a dangerous trend.
In a news program today, the former Prime Minister also said that the opinion of the common citizen is often not based on complete information, which is why sometimes there is anxiety and disturbances among the public. But the good thing is that the state intervened on time and handled the situation.
