The US -based Sikh organization “Sukhs for Justice” (SFJ) has alleged that a senior BJP leader, a senior BJP leader, has set a reward of $ 200,000 for the killing of an American citizen. The claim comes at a time when US Vice President JD Venus is leaving for India on April 21.
SFJ says the alleged prize has been placed to target its central leader Gurpat Singh Pins, which the organization has termed as an open manifestation of trans -national repression across the border.
In a letter sent to Vice President Venus by SFJ’s General Council and leading human rights lawyer Gurpat Singh Pins, the move has been described as a direct criminal act against US sovereignty and national security.
The letter calls on the Vice President to inform India about the potential consequences, adding the alleged announcement to the international patronage category under the international patronage category. These results include legalism, economic sanctions, and the elements involved as a foreign terrorist organization under US federal laws.
The SFJ has emphasized in its letter that the US government should not only prefer diplomatic or economic interests but also to protect democratic values and civil liberties, especially for the security of those who are active for the Khalistan referendum.
