What does science say in marijuana cancer? A recent scientific study has given a new dimension to the chances of cancer treatment through marijuana. This research has been published in the leading scientific journal Frontiers in Oncology, which states that marijuana can not only help reduce the symptoms of cancer patients but also have the ability to fight the disease.
The research was led by Ryan Castle, Research Director Whole Health Onceology Institute, who says the purpose of this analysis was to create a scientific consensus on this controversial topic.
According to Castle, ‘our goal was to find the truth on the topic of marijuana, as so far the field has been based on studies that were chosen according to its purpose.’
The research was done in collaboration with the Cancer Playbook, which includes analysis of more than 10,000 scientific studies. It is considered to be the largest data set so far, including animal experiments, cell research, and human observation studies.

Studies have revealed that marijuana improves specific symptoms of cancer such as loss of appetite, inflammation, nausea and pain. The most striking revelation is that marijuana contains ingredients that are capable of preventing and eliminating cancer cell growth.
Although many experts are still suspicious of this, Castle and his team are hopeful that their research will force US officials, especially the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), to review the current legal classification of marijuana, so that its medical benefits can be further investigated.

Meanwhile, the leading expert, Oncology Dr. Donald Ebromes (University of California), criticized the research, saying that the full treatment of cancer through marijuana is not credible. According to him, marijuana reduces the symptoms of cancer patients, but they do not recognize it as ‘cure’.
