Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met with US Congress delegation. The meeting included Congressman Tom Sozi, Jonathan Jackson, Political Officer Nikhil Hawkin, Acting US Ambassador Natali Baker and Consul General Kirsten Hawkins.
The meeting discussed important issues of mutual interest, Pak -US relations, trade, investment and promotion of relations between democratic institutions.
The meeting expressed its commitment to promote effective measures for the stability and promotion of Pak -US relations, investment in Punjab and widespread cooperation for economic development.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz invited the US delegation to invest in sectors such as the agricultural industry, IT, energy, health and education in Punjab, saying that Pak -US relations are viewed with great appreciation, there is room for further expansion in Pak -US Patterthap.
Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab is ready to give these relations a new dimension. The Punjab government is taking special steps to promote foreign investment and all facilities are being made available on the “One Window” platform through the SIFC to investors in Punjab.
